Wargo French Singer recently obtained a published decision of the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals affirming its win on behalf of a client sued by a former vendor. The trial court had granted summary judgment after finding all of the vendor's claims were barred by its own voluntary conduct. On appeal, the vendor argued that its conduct was not voluntary, but the product of economic duress imposed by Wargo French Singer’s client. However, following briefing and a hotly-contested oral argument, Wargo French Singer prevailed in a 2-1 decision. Congratulations to Michael French and Jeff Williams on their victory!
