• Defended pharmaceutical company against trade secret misappropriation claims alleged by vendor.
  
  
• Obtained emergency injunctive relief pursuant to the Georgia Trade Secrets Act on behalf of manufacturing corporation against former employee who began working for a competitor. Obtained immediate deposition of former employee and immediately recovered trade secret documents taken by former employee.
  
  
• Defended a litigation support services company in a trade secret, breach of fiduciary duty, and unfair competition action in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, concerning alleged misconduct of defendant’s employee, who had formerly been employed by plaintiff. Obtained summary judgment in favor of defendant, defeated plaintiff’s cross-motion for summary judgment, and recovered the costs of the action.
  
  
• Represented a computer software company in connection with a trade secret, breach of contract, and breach of fiduciary duty action against a former officer and employee. Defeated defendant’s effort to obtain injunctive relief regarding his counterclaims and subsequently negotiated a favorable settlement.
  
  
• Represented foreign chemical company in trade secrets and breach of contract action against major domestic chemical company. Defeated comprehensive motion to dismiss and effort to stay discovery. Obtained a favorable settlement for the client.

Our attorneys have also written and lectured extensively in the trade secrets area. For example, Michael S. French has served as a co-author and member of the editorial board for the American Bar Association’s Trade Secret Handbook for Franchise and Distribution Companies. Mr. French is currently serving as the co-chair of the American Bar Association's Subcommittee on Inevitable Disclosure of Trade Secrets. Our attorneys have also served as faculty for the National Business Institute’s annual seminar on Trade Secrets and Employee Raiding in Georgia.
