Representative Matters:

  • Litigated in state and federal courts and agencies nationwide regarding claims under Title VII, the Americans With Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination and Employment Act, the Family Medical Leave Act, the Employee Retirement Income Security Act, the Labor Management Relations Act, and the Sarbanes-Oxley whistleblower provision.

  • Represented employers in multiparty, class, and collective actions under the Fair Labor Standards Act and state wage and hour laws.

  • Argued and briefed employment cases before the United States Courts of Appeals for the Sixth and Eleventh Circuits.

  • Conducted training for in-house counsel and management representatives to ensure compliance with applicable employment laws including Title VII, the Family Medical Leave Act, and the Americans With Disabilities Act.

  • Advised employers regarding restrictive covenant issues including non-compete and non-solicitation agreements.

  • Conducted due diligence and compliance review on employment, wage and hour, traditional labor, and employee benefits issues in connection with the purchase and sale of various businesses.

  • Drafted employment policies and employee handbooks to ensure compliance with the full range of employment laws.
